THE EMBLEM OF ASAM SAHITYA SABHA
The emblem features a sealed book as its central element, symbolizing the repository of knowledge and literature. Atop the book, a clay candle will stand, representing enlightenment and wisdom. Surrounding the candle will be the inscription 'Chira Senehi Mur Bhasha Janani,' conveying a deep emotional connection to the mother tongue. Below the inscription, a star will be placed, signifying aspiration and excellence. At the base of the book holder, the words 'Asam Sahitya Sabha' will be prominently inscribed, emphasizing the organization's identity and purpose.

THE ANTHEM OF ASAM SAHITYA SABHA
Toward the end of the 19th century, Assamese students studying in Kolkata, such as Lakshminath Bezbaruah, Hemchandra Goswami, Chandrakumar Agarwala, Benudhar Rajkhowa, Dalim Chandra Bora, Tirthanath Sharma, and others, established the ‘Axomiya Bhasha Unnati Sadhini Sabha’ on 25th August 1888 to promote the growth of the Assamese language and literature. From this foundation, the organization evolved, and on 26th December 1917, in Sivasagar, under the leadership of visionaries like Padmanath Gohain Baruah, Chandranath Sharma, and Sarat Chandra Goswami, the ‘Asam Sahitya Sabha’ was born, dedicated to the service of ‘Chira Senehi Mur Bhasha Janani’ (My eternally beloved mother tongue). Today, this institution has transformed into a grand banyan tree of cultural significance.
The song ‘Chira Senehi Mur Bhasha Janani’ has already been recognized and accepted as the opening anthem of Asam Sahitya Sabha, akin to a national anthem. To standardize the singing and performance of this anthem across Assam, the Central Executive Committee of Asam Sahitya Sabha adopted a resolution on 16th November 2014. Following this resolution, a subcommittee was formed, which decided upon the guidelines for the rendition and performance of the anthem, as outlined below.
